Ways to be a Wicked Active PBD Teen
Teen Bands Wanted
The Library is seeking teen bands to play at our Community Block Party on Thursday, August 26th from 2-3pm. Each band will play for 15-20 minutes. A sound system and other equipment is not available from the Library. Bands are encouraged to share equipment.

Silk Painting Artshop for Teens
Wednesday, July 21st at 3pm at the West Branch at 603 Lowell Street in Peabody.
Join us to create a beautiful piece of art using silk and silk dyes.
The Silk Painting Artshop is for teens ages 11-18.
This workshop is being presented by Let’s Gogh Art and is being generously funded by the Friends of the Peabody Institute Libraries.

Teen Summer Challenge
Earn 8,000 points & Score a Topsfield Fair Prize Package. Earn points for reading, volunteering, writing book reviews and “going green” this summer.
You can participate entirely online, or stop by any of the Peabody Library locations.

Prize packages include an entry ticket to the Topsfield Fair, 3 free ride tickets and a voucher for free food.
Go Green at your library is sponsored by the Peabody Institute Library, the Massachusetts Regional Library Systems, the Boston Bruins, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Topsfield Fair.


YA Drop-In is open Monday-Thursday from 3-6pm during the school year. We’ve got computers, couches, a PS2, tables for homework and group studying, board games and random fun stuff for your enjoyment. To get to the YA Drop-In room, use the stairs by the desk on the first floor where you check out and return stuff.
