Grant applications take time. Managing a grant once you get it takes even more time!

3. Learn about the grant writing process:
The more familiar you are with grant lingo and procedures, the better off you'll be.

4. Create some boiler plate info:
Most grant applications want similar information about your library, community, services, etc. Keep this information on hand and it will speed up the application process.

5. Have a hook:
Make your application stand out by including something unusual or unique in your proposal.

6. Collaborate:
Share the workload with local schools, senior centers and nonprofits.
