HVAC Project Updates

The Peabody Institute Library at 82 Main Street will undergo extensive HVAC renovations during the summer months of 2010. The improvements will provide consistent temperature and humidity levels throughout the building and increase the energy efficiency of the heating, cooling and lighting systems.
During construction, some parts of the building may be inaccessible to the public for brief periods of time. Library users are encouraged to check for service updates in newspapers, on Peabody Access Television or on the Library’s website at www.peabodylibrary.org. Project updates will also be available by calling the Library at 978-531-0100. Library staff will make every attempt to provide ongoing circulation and reference services from areas that remain open to the public. Public computers with Internet access will be available in the Lower Level Conference Room. The South Branch Library at 78 Lynn Street, and the West Branch Library at 603 Lowell Street, will be open to the public as usual.
